As a full time substitute in the NYC Public School system, I experienced first hand why our schools are failing. Using text books in a digital age where kids are exposed to on demand information and entertainment is completely ineffective.

These same kids that can’t pay attention in class somehow manage to focus completely while playing a video game. How can the elements of story, action and immersion be applied to real curriculum? What is it about a video game structure that motivates kids to seek more difficult challenges and love doing it?!!

How could a start-up company compete with Sony and Microsoft that put games on the xbox and PlayStation costing $50M to develop? Using commercially available technology and indie developers, we managed to create great indie game kids love.
